Updating the Joint Bidding Guide - 2018

In January 2018 we were commissioned to update the 2013 Joint Bidding Guide by Social Business Wales, on behalf of the Joint Bidding Steering Group. The work has been completed and handed over to the Client group in the spring and we are currently discussing how to publish the updates and the guide's modelling toolkit.

Project

We are supporting the ServQ Alliance in updating the 2013 Joint Bidding Guide based on lessons learned during the demonstration projects and latest relevant legislation. The work started in March 2016.

Case Study - Demonstration Projects

The ServQ Alliance completed a 12 month programme to support 12 demonstration projects using the new Welsh Government Joint Bidding Guide. Andrew Crossley of ASCM and the ServQ Alliance managed the programme reporting to a Project Board led by Sue Hurrell of Value Wales, Rhian Edwards of the Wales Co-operative Centre and Gareth Coles of the WCVA.

Case Study - Joint Bidding Guide

ASCM seconded Andrew Crossley to the ServQ Alliance to project manage the research, planning and drafting of the Welsh Government's October 2013 Joint Bidding Guide to give the public sector and bidding consortia a high quality process map on what to do. See www.wales.gov.uk/jointbidding

Case Study - Major Transformation in Local Government Working

ASCM is project managing a major transformation programme on behalf of the ServQ Alliance. The Alliance is working with 10 local authorities in their Education support activities. The Client grouping is focusing on delivering high quality collaboration within 'back office/authority level' services in 10 adjacent geographies. The combined education budgets are over £1,200 million and the programme will improve teamworking and value for money for the £300+ million support services functions.

Case Study - Senior Level Secondment

We seconded a team member as the Group Chief Executive to a new publicly sponsored body created in 2006. This body has developed from concept approval to full operational delivery over 24 months with £ multi-million funding. It is one of the EU's leading expert bodies in advanced collaborative working practices and has alliances with US and EU institutes. It is delivering new ways of cost effective, high performance working especially for small to medium sized organisations.
